Falkängens
Sustainable development

Here at Falkängen we are constantly working to reduce our environmental impact to contribute to sustainability that benefits not only us but the entire area. We are locally committed and collaborate with both local businesses and associations.

You can easily reach us by Västtrafik train—Hällekis railway station is conveniently located 200m from Falkängen and here you'll even find two charging stations for electric cars.

If you're arriving by public transportation, we offer bicycle rentals for both overnight guests and day visitors, making it easy to explore the area.

You can also get here by boat, and if you're cycling along the Vänerleden trail, the route passes directly through Falkängen. Once you're here, it's easy to reach local restaurants and attractions by bike or train.

Sustainable travel

We offer hiking packages and cycling packages with overnight stays and encourage our guests to add a night and stay longer.

During high season, we lower the price of accommodation during the quieter days of the week to spread visitors to the area more widely.

In our accommodations, we focus on sustainability by using mostly second-hand or auction-sourced interior decor. The same approach applies to the kitchen equipment available in each apartment.

To support waste sorting, we provide recycling containers in every unit, making it easier for guests to manage their own waste responsibly.

Whenever possible, we serve locally produced and organic food for breakfast, supplemented by items from our small village shop.

All our cleaning and paper products are eco-labeled, and where available, we decorate with flowers picked from our own garden.

Working towards less environmental impact

Our houses are from the turn of the century and require a lot of care. We work with local craftsmen who help us with sustainable and careful building maintenance.
